Finished Goat Simulator 3 on PS5 but still trying to get all the side quests and stuff. Lots of references to just about everything in here. Good stupid fun though. #backlog2026
I actually finished a game in the same year it was released! Phonopolis by @Amanita_Design on steamdeck. Another great adventure game with some tough puzzles. Looks and sounds amazing, as all Amanita's games do. #backlog2026

What a brilliant but tiring day at Arcade Club Bury for the first UK Kong Off. I think I came next to last but it was fun. Great to meet the legend that is Walter Day too!

Adventures in Arcade Monitor Repair. 1. Monitor went down, started investigating. 2. Bad trace in power line, fixed. 3. Bad HOT found, replaced. 4. Open resistor found next to flyback, replaced. Everything then seemed to work until the flyback started arcing 😤 New one ordered!
Bloody monitors. Still not working but at least I have something on screen now. Looks like I'm going through all the capacitors again and see if any have gone bad.
Creaks finished on Steamdeck. Fantastic visuals and audio from Amanita Design again. Not massive but a nice puzzle game with a slightly creepy feel to it. I'll always recommend Amanita games to anyone. #backlog2026
Monument Valley 3 complete, as well as all the memories, on steamdeck. Another great sequel that I couldn't put down, so I'm paying for it today 😅 I think my brain would explode if I even began to understand how these games work. So cool. #backlog2026
Simon the Sorcerer: Origins complete on steamdeck. Great to hear Chris Barrie back and some nods to the original game, which is a sequel to this. Loved it all, only needed 3 hints, 2 of which I thought I'd already tried. Recommended for point & click adventure fans! #backlog2026
At Arcade Club Bury today and found a few cabs I've not actually seen before in person. Pity Wacko was down, because I really want to play that one.
First game down of 2026! Monument Valley 2 on steamdeck/PC. Excellent sequel to the first and a little more challenging I thought. Love these games though, so onto the third! #backlog2026

I bought the Monument Valley Collection on steam and just played through the first game, including it's two small expansions. A perspective bending puzzle game inspired by MC Escher art. Great visuals, sound and gameplay, edging towards cosy. #backlog2025
I completed Shadow of the Colossus on PS4/5. Good game and the Colossi are very impressive, especially in this updated version. Spent more time fighting with the awful camera than them though! The world also just feels a bit wasted. It's massive with nothing to do #backlog2025

Picked up a GBA game I sold some years ago. Bomberman Tournament. 4 Player Bomberman battles with a Zelda/Pokemon style adventure mode too. Gonna have a full playthrough soon. #backlog2025
Finally finished Mario Odyssey on Switch! I got it with the Switch and bounced of it once I got to Donk City. Really great game though and quite addictive. More post story stuff to do! #backlog2025

Bugsnax complete on PS5. Good game, like something Rare would come up with. Not too hard and lots of missions and side-quests to do. Some representation of same sex couples, which you don't see often in games, so that's cool. Good for kids and adults! #backlog2025

Day of the Tentacle Remastered complete on PS5. An absolute classic, I completed this decades ago on PC, when it was released. I only needed one small hint this time 😀 #backlog2025
Abzû complete on PS4/5 in one sitting! Short game but chilled out with great music and graphics. A bit like Journey, and as with that game, I wasn't really sure what was happening. I enjoyed it all though so would recommend a playthrough to anyone. #backlog2025
Hollow Knight completed on PS5 today. This is a great MetroidVania style game. While not as visually stunning as Ori, it still looks and sounds fantastic. It is a little challenging in places (there was much swearing), but different charm combinations help. #backlog2025
