I guess it's a really bad idea to watch #TimMinchin as Judas before going to watch a live production of #AndreLloydWeber & #TimRice's #JesusChristSuperstar in #Singapore? The Arena Tour 2012 cast was so very good - wish I had been able to see that live. #Musical #Theatre
I've waited 33 years from when I heard it first as a plucky 16 year-old to watch #JesusChristSuperstar performed live. No more! That ends tonight at the Marina Bay Sands theatre in #Singapore. Too bad my 9 y.o. isn't allowed in. #Musical #Theatre

RubyGems and Bundler now pass their full test suites with RUBY_BOX=1. I am working toward Ruby 4.1 so that Ruby::Box is stable enough for real projects. bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/22275

If you want to explore, the code is here: gist.github.com/tenderlove/0... The trick is that the multi-assign returns an array, and it can't be elided because initialize returns it (even though `new` ignores it)

Rails + AI models, which to use? Along with the Rails Foundation we benchmarked the performance of eight AI models against atomic tasks and evals. We found that Opus 4.5 is slightly more accurate and affordable than Fable, but slower. Kimi K3 gives you similar results for almost half the price. 🧵
In case anyone still runs Rails 7.2.x this is the sign to rush the upgrade. I assume that version is now not supported anymore. Source: rubyonrails.org/maintenance
Is there now an easy (or slightly complicated) way to move #Microsoft #Whiteboard documents from one Outlook/ Live account to an M365 account? One of the good things with "desktop / files" is this ability to just cut and paste the files from one place to the other.
After you take a snip with the Snipping Tool in #Windows11, you can right click on the window in the taskbar and select to take a time delayed screenshot - it used to be in the snipping tool UI when you started it and was convenient... but at least it is some place #Tech
Got my copy 😍 The 2nd edition contains chapters on concurrency (incl. Ractors) static typing (RBS, Sorbet) and code optimization (profiling, JIT) – straight from a Ruby committer. I admire Jeremy Evans for his dedication, though being a technical reviewer isn’t the easiest either 😅

Postgres 18. uuidv7() applied as a new PK column default. Inserts at 2-10K calls/minute. Inserts total time dropped from 1 millisecond to around 50 microseconds, about ~20x faster. Thanks to Postgres developers for this work which enables PK index maintenance to be much more efficient!
