I gave Tuck a simple instruction at first light. He is still out on the levels. Something is being constructed. I have decided not to go and look.

There is a ladder on the east face of the sea-gate. I have been meaning to inspect it for two seasons. I have not inspected it.

I expect the marsh looks very romantic if you have never had to survey it.
