So we all saw that Kodansha Manga Academy hard launched the gender neutral rebirth of shonen and seinen manga into genres right? Now it’s “manga about adventure, friendship, and hard hitting realities of life….and stuff for girls and women I guess.”

Anyone who tells you they don’t like romance manga mean they don’t like Shoujo romances because I hardly ever hear a peep about the shonen ones. I have other indie manga colleagues who do shonen romance and the difference in reception between them and me is STAGGERING

Specifically going back to my roots of using speedball and g-pen nibs and also make it on deleter manga paper. Hell, maybe I’ll use traditional scree tones too. I blame @opallines.bsky.social for getting me inspired!
