u dont need 100+ layers. if u are painting u dont need more than one or two u also dont need a 5k/7k big canvas for doing character art, those sizes are for monumental pieces, half of that is plenty! make ur brush bigger, make ur canvas smaller and try painting on one layer, ur hand will thank u
