Drumming on the sky, listening to the sound.

Wait...Eric Swalwell and Katie Miller? <sips coffee> Man, Stephen Miller's flesh-covered mannequins are in for it tonight
Ketchup slices. <rubs bridge of nose, closes eyes> 2026, man.
<Military helicopters circle overhead, an armored 18-wheeler appears in the distant desert, surrounded by an assortment of protective vehicles coming at high speed through the heat and dirt> "No, no - hey, guys. Wrong place. You gotta go down the road. This is Area 52. Yeah, I know, I know."
Fronted by Advance Colorado, a "conservative nonprofit" (emphasis on front), and more than likely written by lobbyists. Natural gas heats a lot of homes in CO. And it creates a lot of jobs - and, yes, pollution (air, water). In no way does this need to be in our state constitution.
Colorado voters will decide whether to put “right to natural gas” in state constitution
Finding water & purifying, fuel for fire, seed/soil maintenance, and medical skills would be at the top, then where's the shitter. Followed by the skill of being able to run an autonomous collective, anarcho-syndicalist commune. Also how to properly defend against, hunt, and cook "long pig"...
I think the truly coveted skill in an apocalypse scenario would be the knowledge to build and maintain indoor plumbing.
I hate this 'moderates vs. left' false narrative bullshit where the media manufactures an illusion of conflict. It's 'democrats in disarray' nonsense and divisive bot fuel. Vote blue no matter who? Damn straight. And I say that as a "shitlib/neolib/moderate/centrist" or whatever it is this week.
I think like 80% of us on this site could snap Trump's dwindled mental state like a dried twig if we ever got into a live insult game with him. I remember seeing a lot of rightwing, tough guy drivel about how mean he is, and...Nah. We'd have Yammy McYamYam Tits crying in minutes. Minutes.
<me and the kids, montaging through a grocery store to the Laverne & Shirley theme song>
As a long timer in the arid climate of CO's front range, I feel this and feel for the folks now experiencing more devastating fire seasons. Breaks my heart. For those in rural and suburban areas- learn what you can do to help with fire mitigation, and please help any of your aging neighbors.
Oregon has set a record for the worst fire season in history, with 2m acres burned, and 2 months before the return of fall rains. Climate change is here. It looks like scorched forests, fires that encroach on major cities, & lost commerce and recreation. My video report from smoke fouled Portland
Good thread here - b/c there's a lot that's better; and, given the current state of seemingly all things, it's important to remember that. Lots of quality, thoughtful, positive responses here and I enjoyed reading them.
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
...'Erudite Pervert' is now the name of my next prog project
“Turgid” is such a great word but also outs you as an erudite pervert
I mean everyone hates a tattletale so...wait, wut
Rep. Max Miller: "When I was reported for child abuse of my daughter for a broken collarbone, my daughter was in my ex-wife's care 9 out of the last 11 days and she took her to the emergency room, which is a contempt violation from our shared parenting plan."
<narrator voice> What if I told you AI is just another Ponzi scheme...
Pirro doing the walk of shame. ETTD, asshole. Also, anyone in the DC area who enjoys boxed wine should stock up before she goes on a six-alarm rampage bender.
I would die. In fact, I would be obliterated at such speed that it may tear a hole into a new dimension. Was once asked about taking a punch from an amateur boxer. Same answer. These guys are trained weapons - and if you're not, the results would be brutal.
Do you think you take a hit from a NFL player and not fumble the ball at your age?
Exactly. Any time I see this kind of bs jobs data, I wonder which AI powered applicant tracking system or SaaS productivity startup is selling.
(I was not able to find the report, fwiw - best I can tell it's from a podcast from the CEO of an AI-powered hiring platform? www.linkedin.com/pulse/everyo...)
