after the absolute & complete victory of TPOT on X, i think it's time it returns here to liberate this platform from its shackles
every so often I happen to be part of group convos that devolve into people evaluating the intelligence of the people in their broader, direct environment, and every time I am reminded that my understanding of who & what makes one smart is v different than that of the median person
when you don't have experience, you need to borrow it from others with good-enough theory of mind, you should then be able to internalize a good-enough approximation of their experience, and thus operate at a good-enough level before even gathering your own xp
just found this, been saying this for years, food (any solid, not just wings) is much tastier if you forego the intermediaries and straight up eat like a barbarian

observing network effects in full throttle has been v interesting this past month; initial mass-migration to bsky bcs of exhaustion with twitter => very active but self-referential monoculture => back to twitter bcs of need for more diversity & exhaustion with bsky monoculture 🔄

Peter W🤓@wang.social · 3y agoWhat features would comprise an MVP of a version of Bluesky that is oriented towards teen users (13-18 y.o.)? More aggressive and fine-tunable content moderation? Options for a parent account to audit interactions & get weekly reports? Curated feeds by a parent network?

Paul Frazee@pfrazee.com · 3y agoso a couple of thoughts on what fiatjaf is saying I’m gonna start with this: I don’t feel the same way about nostr or activitypub or most other projects. generally speaking, everybody is engaging in tradeoffs and optimizing for different things. which is a good thing
