Austin-based curmudgeonly Englishman reinventing himself as last year's thing. Likes 16th century Flemish art, Marmite, and some other stuff.
Trying to come up with a tasteful and respectful way of using the phrase "Bill Odyssey" if it hadn't already been done.
Been planning to reread John Fowles' DANIEL MARTIN for a while, having read it in the late 70s when it came out in paperback. Had fond memories of it but this time around threw it aside after 20 pages. Overblown cod-modernism might have been cool to a teenage me but now 704 pages of it is too much.

Never mind her "hair", what's she doing hanging out with Father Jack? ("Drink! Trump! Feck!")
Trump shakes hands with Callista Gingrich and her hair
Trump's going to claim credit for all four goals isn't he?
France Gall has somehow never quite achieved the hipster credibility of Françoise Hardy but you'd be a chump to overlook gems like this.
