Today is my last day at the @mzesunimannheim.bsky.social ... until February 2027. Starting tomorrow, I'll move to a totally new place (another floor, same building, when I'm not home-officing) to be the Interim Professor of Empirical Democracy Research. See you all in 6 months! (or next week 🤷‍♂️)

Ok so I haven’t seen the Odyssey yet, and haven’t read Emily Wilson’s review either. BUT I did listen to an hour-long interview with her, and she seemed to have a lot of fun watching the movie. So I don’t know what the issue here is.

Had a thought and it's probably bullshit. But this is the platform for that, right? 1. LLMs, transformer models, etc., are basically just regression models, but where we do the thing stat teachers told us not to and overfit the model with shitload of parameters. (Could you tell I'm not an expert?)

Maybe someone here can recommend: I want to use my research budget to buy an e-ink reader for reading & annotating articles. A slight plus if it could also be used to read books, but not its main purpose. I’m torn between the Boox Go and the Supernote Manta, but I’m open to other options as well.
