As a child (and probably as a young adult), I fully believed that only geniuses and exceptionally talented people can become scientists. This is, of course, not true. In order to be a scientist, you need to be curious. Because curiosity is what gives you the drive to study and learn things.
I think the entire planet should have just one time zone, THE TIME, and people should choose where to live based on wheter they want to be awake when the sun is in the sky or not.
A phrase that should be banned from all fiction going forward: "It was supposed to be a routine mission/other job thing." No. You are now required to come up with a new way of saying: "I thought it was going to be just another day at work."
Yeah, where I'm from, this is a crime and politicians who say shit like this get prosecuted.

There is a Finnish airline commercial going around that is doing my head in. It shows foreigners asking Finns to describe what the "real cold" of winter feels like, and then the Finns wax poetic about it. We haven't had real winters outside of Lapland in 20 years! LAPLAND vs. THE REST OF FINLAND
As a speaker of a language that uses the letters ä and ö, I implore native English speakers not to throw umlauts on letters just to make them seem more metal and/or fantasy. Or, at the very least, make sure you understand how those letters sound before you use them.

Dear Silent Hill fans complaining about the new games taking place in locations other than Silent Hill. You do not want to play game after game after game in the same small town. Think about what it would actually mean, gameplay- and story-wise, if all these games took place in Silent Hill.
Capcom is my favorite game developer. For the past 40 years, they've been making my favorite games. I will never purchase anoter Capcom game again if they pivot to using generative AI in their game development. Like, I will happily never purchase another Capcom game again.

I think the Finnish citizenship test should just be a liquorice tasting. If you can eat a bunch of black liquorice and salmiac, and enjoy it, you're a certified true Finn. If you can't enjoy it, you have to survive one more winter before you can try again.

It's wild to me that, in the US, politicians have the power to hold hearings and investigations like this. Why is this a political proceeding? It's ridiculous that the country that pounds its chest at the rest of the world about the "RULE OF LAW" has no separation between justice and politics.

People think raccoons look like robbers wearing black masks. That's ridiculous! Have you ever seen a robber wearing a mask like that? Raccoons are actually commandos wearing balaclavas, and the dark rings around their eyes are the eye holes. They're dressed from head to toe in tactical gear.
I hate the fact that "How are you?" is a typical greeting because it forces me to lie about how I'm doing even to my closest friends and family. If I were to EVER respond honestly, that would immediately change the entire natute of every social meeting.
Turns out I may have been sabotaging my YouTube channel's growth by sharing my videos on BlueSky. I'll try to explain: The YouTube algorithm doesn't just care about how many people click on your videos. It cares about how long people spend watching them.
