A superb few days in the arid desert south of the Morocco’s High atlas. 116 species up for the trip so far (in 4.5 days!). Thick-billed Lark, Temminck’s Lark, Pharaoh Eagle Owl, Lanner Falcon, Cream-coloured Coursers and loads of migrants. A superb Desert Horned Viper too. Off to the Desert today🇲🇦

Amazing evening last night shared with the stunning Scops Owl in South Wales. Very happy I made the journey down from North Wales. Another big life tick this week. 322✅

Crazy few days of awesome birds. Brilliant trip down to Devon on Thursday with good views of Lesser crested tern, Baikal Teal and Desert wheatear. Then a huge surprise to see messages about a Bufflehead only 30 mins from home whilst filling my car. Great views. 321✅

Just come back from a brilliant week on the Isles of Scilly, catching up with some goods birds, bugs and many laughs. 4 lifers and 3 year ticks. Taking me to ✅308. The fantastic Red-tailed Shrike a few weeks ago took me to the 300 target and not a bad bird to do it with!
