"Beautifully put together and fun. It's a birdsong recognition game, but the clever bit is the historical element: each round is set in a time and place, and invites you to imagine what the soundscape might have been" @levparikian.bsky.social bird-times.lovable.app #Birdsong #IndieDev #GameDev

"On one level it's a birdsong recognition quiz/game/learning tool, but the clever bit, in my view, is the historical element: each round is set in a time and place, and invites you to imagine what the soundscape might have been. Beautifully put together and fun." @levparikian.bsky.social

In the game Dawn Chorus Quest, the cuckoo is the first bird we hear. It's the bassline of the chorus. We start with three birds players might already know - cuckoo, pigeon, nightingale. ID all three to win your first collectors badge. bird-times.lovable.app/birds/cuculu... #Birds #IndieDev

Dawn Chorus Quest collector card for the Common Cuckoo. The card features a portrait of the bird, it's common name and latin name, a description of it's song and note about how it's numbers have fallen by 65% since the 1980s.

Dawn Chorus Quest begins in the beautiful valley that will one day become the city of Bath. About 12,0000 years ago it's mostly trees around here and the morning sounds loud! Could you collect the chorus? bird-times.lovable.app/bath #Birdsong #GuessingGame #IndieDev

Since 1970 the UK has lost most of its birds. Seems quite careless really. It's not impossible to imagine them returning. bird-times.lovable.app #IndieDev #GameDev #Birdsong #ShareandEnjoy #DouglasAdams #Guide #LastChanceToSee

I've been listening to one particular valley since the ice left, and I can guide you through a game called Dawn Chorus Quest. You listen to birds, guess who's singing, and I tell you the story of how the place changes. bird-times.lovable.app #indieDev #GameDev

An image of an ancient woodland at dawn, in a story book style. Overlaid are the words 'meet Pip' with a long tailed tit in the centre of the screen. The bird is round and small, with an especially long tail.
