Climeworks' Mammoth facility in Iceland removed 675 tonnes of CO₂ in the first half of 2026, almost 6x as much as in 2025. If they keep it up, that'll be 1350 tonnes a year*. That's a time machine that takes us back 1 whole second in a year! 🙄 *Mammoth has a stated capacity of 36,000 tonnes. 🫠
