Today marks six months since the catastrophic Eaton and Palisades fires devastated Los Angeles. And while recovery is still a long road ahead, we remain committed to rebuilding these communities stronger than before.

The scenes coming out of Kerr County in Texas are gut wrenching. My thoughts are with the families of the victims during this unimaginable tragedy — and I pray that those still missing are found unharmed.

Yesterday, Republicans in the Senate tried to jam through the SAVE Act –– which would lead to the disenfranchisement of millions of eligible American citizens if passed. I blocked it.
