Paged Out! is a free magazine about programming, hacking, security hacking, retro computers, modern computers, electronics, demoscene, and other similar topics. Always accepting submissions of one-page articles.

This wonderful wallpaper and the Issue #9 cover were created by Vasyl/Joker^NAH^TRSI. Both this and other wallpapers, as well as Issue #9 which just came out, can be downloaded from Paged Out!'s website!

Our great authors and artists provided us with the required 50 arts, thus we begin finalizing the issue. Estimated time of arrival: second half of June. However, we are still accepting submissions - until the issue is set in stone (we will let you know when that happens).

Call For Pages is still open! We're calling all authors and artists who would like to be a part of Paged Out! Issue #9. Our email articles@pagedout.institute is waiting!

When working with computers we frequently find these cool little tidbits/tricks/tips we could share. They are too small to make a full article, but they are likely the right size for Paged Out! magazine, where each article is just 1 page 😎 CFP deadline for Issue #9: 30th April'26

Learning reverse engineering and hungry for some real-world tips and tricks? Check out this article by Amnesia ("Reverse Engineering Cryptography Code"). This is a solid overview with multiple approaches to the topic.

A perfect 1-page Friday reading → here's a fun article by Jacob Strieb about (ab)using <canvas> element in HTML and PNGs to get DEFLATE compression into older browsers (without reimplementing the whole thing in JS).

My second article in Paged Out! #8 was about the architecture of the terminal emulator on Linux - it's a really obvious thing until you start digging into details, as usual (link to article/issue is in reply).

We have over 60 items now and the deadline has past, but the issue is not yet set in stone. If you want to have your article published in #8, this is your last call! You need to hurry :)

We are slowly nearing the required 50 articles. There is still time to submit yours and be published in #7. We are waiting for it at articles@pagedout.institute! Please don't wait until the last second :) Paged Out! #7 is scheduled for mid-September (this might still change).

We’ve surpassed 50 entries! Now onto the next stage: finalization! No worries, if you are writing something for us, you have 10 days to still make it into this issue. After that, all submissions will likely go to Issue #7 :)
