A brief politics interruption. We have a Talarico sign in our front yard, along with one for a fine Democratic candidate for our Texas House seat. Our neighbor put out a sign for the incumbent Republican in our Texas House district on the same day we put up ours. After two days, they took it down.

Welp, Ward was never going to save that Denmark goal. Fortunately the offsides keeps it 0-0. It was a brilliant finish, all for nought. #askwxm

Is it wrong to hope for 1-9? It kind of seems wrong. #askwxm

My word, Thomas just remains so calm in the penalty area. Just a routine strike for her into the back of the net to make it 1-6. #askwxm

Hey @askwxm.bsky.social, we did catch the replay of the penalty shot, though without your dulcet voice to illustrate how fairly routine the effort was. Thank you for the background on the literal fire! #askwxm.

Just a lazy pass intercepted by BFL. But still a lovely finish, assisted by the wind to bring it back to 1-2. The Wrexham defenders can't be that lax against this squad. #askwxm

The wind, while not quite as strong, is still quite a force. Going downhill with the wind at their backs, the second half should be a bit easier for Wrexham. In Black. Not Red per the scoreboard. ⬛ #askwxm

I don't know how my co-worker runs into great soccer players, but she got to see Lindsey Heaps yesterday. My co-worker probably was good enough to make it to the NWSL, but she got injured. I guess she knows where the Denver-based players frequent. I was jealous.

The pronunciations of Max's last name make me giggle. The commenter tonight has used CLOO-worth and CLAY-worth already. The same human isn't even consistent. Last match we had CLEE-worth. And we haven't heard CLE-worth lately. #askwxm

Watching Patterson calmly chewing gum as he readies for the free kick fills me with joy. He's not the least bit nervous. #askwxm

From my count, there will still be five departures. Harry Ashfield, Aaron James, and Seb Revan should get loan spells, I'd think DKD and/or Ryan Longman could be either sold or loaned. Thomason might be left off the 25-man roster and brought back in January, if his injury is that serious. #askwxm

I don't normally share BBC articles, but thought that this was a nice read. They got some good quotes. #WxmAFC #askwxm Source: BBC share.google/ZNHAUuvib4Hu...

Racecourse Kop: Why a new stand has become symbolic for Wrexham

The towering new Kop stand at the Racecourse dominates the Wrexham skyline - a tangible reminder of the scale of ambition at the north Wales club.

This is the coverage of Arday **just in the Telegraph** in the UK. This is only the first four pages of results, just in one outlet.

Something very weird going on in the Missouri Amendment 4 tally. Cape Girardeau is 78% YES, with the next-closest county at 37% YES. Earlier, Benton County was 79 YES / 21 NO, and it recently flipped to 21 YES / 79 NO. I checked multiple sites, and they matched. apnews.com/projects/ele...

I am curious about how the narrow field at Yankee Stadium affects formation decisions/tactics. With it six yards narrower than The Racecourse, it seemed like attacking up either flank was difficult for both squads. The narrower pitch was very obvious on the broadcast, making the match very crowded.

Remember Wrexham fans, while Imray is nominally a defender, he's comfortable at RWB. I'd bet that's where he's going to play. #askwxm #WxmAFC

I haven't been overwhelmed by Aaron James as a RWB, but he also hasn't made any glaring errors. Could Parky be considering him for the 25-man roster? Longman is solid, and Barnett is versatile, but I still think they are looking for a #1 RWB. #askwxm

Bailey Cads! What a magnificent run. #askwxm #WxmAFC

Smith and Jones in midfield. Could it *get* more generic? 😜 #askwxm #askUCL #WxmAFC

Getting Faye Knox to the left side really works. She's made it to her happy place once so far, and just about buried it in the far top corner. #askwxm #askUCL #WxmAFC

Man, Brima has some serious pace, doesn't she? She really is a true number 10. The defense is going to have to deal with her all day long. #askwxm #askUCL #WxmAFC

My, what a perfect touch on that Lili Jones goal. The ball into the box was quite deft, as well. #askwxm #askUCL #WxmAFC

I don't talk about politics much, but the remarks against Bruce Springsteen at the dinner last night were particularly unwise. We saw Bruce in concert the very night after the original Correspondent's Dinner shooting. He opened his show with an impassioned speech about how we are all Americans.
