The amount of creative decisions I change up from my sketch in all of my art is honestly wild lol. It’s kind of a problem I like the end result but the amount of time it takes to get there is starting to bother me. I’m still happy tho :)

Had an old coworker the other day message me about some freelance work and after I said sorry I’m not taking freelance work she was like “can I call you with the details in case you change your mind?” Like…what? And she was very pushy even beyond that lol. What about me gives “please steamroll me”

Saying no to freelance work feels strange because shouldn’t I be excited about it? But no…the idea brings me dread. Does not spark joy I’ve spent creative energy on other people’s ideas for the majority of my adult life, and now I’m extremely territorial about it

A message from Bear McCreary that really made me smile from when I was posting a lot of my God of War Ragnarok playthrough progress recently :) Something special about hearing from the game devs themselves cause I got to tell him how much I thoroughly enjoyed his work as the composer 🫶🏻

Laying down the foundational shapes for my 3rd attempt…I think I may like this more. A lot more variety in big/medium/small and they’re more interesting and angular :) This is why my art takes so long compared to others lol (I also need to draw more, compared to painting)

Perfect example of when something just *feels* wrong and I take awhile to study something more closely to understand it. I like the second attempt a lot more lol I guess the first attempt may not necessarily be “wrong” but I trust my spidey senses when something just isn’t landing for me

Came across a TikTok that talked about how their HP printer suddenly disabled their ability to print because it detected non HP-brand ink (but still compatible, she had been using it for 5 years) And ppl in the comments talked about how their HP printers require subscriptions…what in the dystopia

My imaginative realism art takes an embarrassing amount of time to make…honestly a large part of it is because I don’t draw enough and I’m fixing a lot of structural problems along the way lol
