Positive photo day 2356: "The sun does arise, And make happy the skies." -- William Blake, The Echoing Green #morning #seenonmywalk in #NewJersey No #birds 🪶today.
Positive photo day 2355: I think I like the reflections of the trees on the pond in Van Cortlandt Park more than the Mallards all lined up. Impressionism anyone? #birds 🪶 #ducks 🦆 of the #Bronx #NYC #wildlifephotography @vcpalliance.bsky.social
Positive photo 2354: I didn't even make it the park this morning before this Mockingbird flew by to check out the bird bath. Happy Friday everyone. #birds 🪶of the #Bronx #NYC #birdphotography
Positive photo day 2353: The Catbirds are still all over Van Cortlandt Park -- they haven't migrated yet so I guess it is still summer, even though the fall semester is nearly a week old. #birds 🪶 of the #Bronx #NYC #birdphotography @vcpalliance.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2352: The Great Blue Heron was intently watching everything this morning in Van Cortlandt Park. #birds of the #Bronx #NYC #birdphotography @vcpalliance.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2351: I guess it's back to my Green Heron obsession. My morning walks in Van Cortlandt Park are a bit of a respite from my to-do list but now the time has come. #birds of the #Bronx #NYC #birdphotography @vcpalliance.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2350: To celebrate (haha) the first day of classes and jetlag, I walked in Van Cortlandt Park for the first time this month. And I saw the cutest Pied-billed Grebe. Those eyes!!! #birds of the #Bronx #NYC #birdphotography @vcpalliance.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2349: While I'm back in NY, I still have photos from #Mongolia to share. This is the last batch... promise. Mongolian artwork was all over the venue. Here are some examples I haven't yet shared. #publicart #Ulaanbaatar #UNCCD COP17Mongolia @unccd.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2348: I'm home! While I was gone, #sunflowers 🌻took over the sidewalk in front of Key Foods. #naturephotography #Bronx #NYC
Positive photo day 2347: My last day in #Mongolia was dramatic. Sunny skies ☀️gave way to a downpour🌧️ and resultant flooding before the sun returned. There is still one more week of #UNCCDCOP17, but unfortunately I have to start teaching on Monday. @unccd.bsky.social #travelphotography
Support for pastoralists and rangelands at #UNCCDCOP17 was described as "heartening," but the question remains if Parties will provide the funding needed to implement the Rangelands Flagship Initiative and related COP decision. #UNCCD #Rangelands @unccd.bsky.social ➡️ enb.iisd.org/convention-c...
Positive photo day 2346: I actually forgot to take photos today (and it was sunny). Here are some photos from around the UNCCD COP 17 venue from yesterday. And, if you check out our webpage, you will find me in two photos if you look carefully enb.iisd.org/convention-c...
Positive photo day 2345: After a day of rain, a #rainbow 🌈appeared over #UNCCDCOP17 venue in Ulaanbaatar, #Mongolia. Hopefully, it is a sign of better weather tomorrow, both inside and outside the negotiating rooms. @unccd.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2344: The second day of COP 17 is in the books, complete with a #thunderstorm 🌩️ that led delegates to run for shelter. Here are some scenes from today (details in Alt text) #travelphotography #Mongolia @unccd.bsky.social @enb.iisd.org
At #UNCCDCOP17 where discussions on #drought have been quite heated, a thunderstorm did little to mitigate the intensity of the negotiations, although delegates did need to dodge the raindrops as they headed to the afternoon sessions. #RestoringLandRestoringHope #UNited4Land
Positive photo day 2343: #COP17 of @unccd.bsky.social began today in Ulaanbaatar, #Mongolia. This is the culmination of all of the work that I have been doing over the past two weeks as well as for many months before that. You can see our daily reports and photos at enb.iisd.org #travelphotography
Positive photo day 2342: I took a walk in the National Garden Park in #Ulaanbaatar. This is the park where many runners and walkers go to work out in the morning. But I found some other things too, including a Eurasian Magpie and the Love Bench. #birdphotography #publicart #seenonmywalk #Mongolia
Positive photo day 2341: I just finished three days of training with the Youth Negotiators Academy. These youth delegates are now ready to join their country delegations at #UNCCD #COP17, which begins on Monday here in #ulaanbaatar #mongolia @unccd.bsky.social
Positive photo day 2340: No trip is complete without some #seenonthestreet mural/sign/graffiti photos. I still have another week in Ulaanbaatar, but it was time to share these messages from around the city. #murals #travelphotography #streetart

And 3 is a lucky number in #Mongolia. I've seen different views of the city from high vantage points along the way. #travelphotography
Positive photo day 2337: I went to Hustai National Park on a rainy day in #Mongolia. I didn't see as many species as I wanted to, but I saw Przewalski's horses (from a distance), a rare and endangered wild horse, a Eurasian Kestral, & a Siberian Marmot. (See Alt Text.) #wildlifephotography #birds 🪶
Positive photo day 2336: The Genghis (Chinggis) Khan statue is the world's largest equestrian monument.Standing 50 meters (164-ft) tall, this 250-ton stainless steel monument allows visitors to climb directly onto the horse's head. More info in Alt-Txt. #travelphotography #Mongolia
Positive photo day 2335: The Aryabal Meditation Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary located in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, devoted to Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
