one f the things in particular tha tmakes me really happy is the amount of dark skinned women. its not just a fire emblem prblem but a problem with fantasy media in general to have dark skinned men but not d ark skinned women
not so much for character development necessarily but like. so many people have parental/familial trauma. a lot of black people have racial trauma. a lot of black queer people have queer trauma. and that's just life unfortunately

i think fandom as a whole has ruined a lot of peoples' ability to engage w real ass issues (like outside of a fandom context) bc bring up some problematic shif happening in x work/fandom and you get hit w "it's just art forehead 😒" as if art only exists in a vacuum seperate from society somehow
