There are certainly more sophisticated ways of talking about how the movie They Cloned Tyrone fits so well within the tradition of Black surrealism. One can draw a line, say, from Get Out to Sorry to Bother You to They Cloned Tyrone.

Joining in the Heated Rivalry discourse even tho I haven’t seen it lol. But the show heavily—and I mean heavily—reminds me of how the creators and audience of Yaoi are never gay men, but instead are largely straight women.
Art lives in the process, in the struggle to grow and figure out the specific needs of the work, and in the arrival at a better understanding of the artist’s limitations. The product is just the end result of the art.
Virginia Woolf at the end of her near 150 page letter (Three Guineas) has so much sass and I’m loving it!

Important lesson of last night's elections: progressives won across the country because they didn't water down their message and their values.
Been printing some b/w photos these past few months. Here some of them are!
I don’t know how they do it, but international queer coming-of-age films are so devastatingly beautiful. Just finished watching Young Hearts and its joined my favorites among Close and Heartstone.
So excited! The 15th can’t come soon enough!
We're floored by the talent joining us this summer for the 2025 Sewanee Writers' Conference! Congrats to all of these fabulous writers. You're amazing on the page, and we can't wait to meet you in person!
Instead of looking for “the next liberal Joe Rogan” or asking for donations by email or any of the “optics” which try to cater to the nonexistent “centrist”, the Dems SHOULD be out on the streets, in the communities they represent, actually doing the work
Come join us!
Big opportunity alert: we're open for applications to join the Split/Lip Press editorial team as our Creative Director! More details at the app link in our bio ( splitlippress.submittable.com), but everyone's favorite point to note: *yes we pay* Really looking forward to hearing from you all!
How does Nathan Fielder literally one up himself every show???

So happy to see @haymayden.bsky.social be the 2025 @onestorymag.bsky.social Fellow! Back in 2022 we published his short story, ‘Silhouettes’, in Passengers Journal! You can read his stellar story here: www.passengersjournal.com/volume-3-iss...
Please please read Fire Exit by Morgan Talty! It’s so good and intense and painfully beautiful.
Absolutely donate to libraries, but…I would heavily caution donating to Wikipedia. The people who write the articles are volunteers (a third of which have been written/edited by 1 person). Which means that those donations don’t go the people who keep the site running.
One of my first contributions in the new year will be to the Wikimedia Foundation to help support Wikipedia. And then my next contribution will be to my local library.
I’m a little late, but this is the last issue of Passengers Journal that I had the pleasure of editing. I’ve enjoyed all the people I’ve met and had the honor of publishing. Take a gander, hope you enjoy! 😊 www.passengersjournal.com/volume-5-iss...
