My game’s going to be in the Chicago Indie Games Showcase!! This is my first ever event like this and I’m so unbelievably excited to be attending and showing off my game! Stop by and say hi! Also check out the other super cool devs that are going to be there!!! 💜
Hello my friends! Thanks for dropping by to support my little indie game!!! I’ve been working on it for a year now while working on my Masters so the support truly is appreciated! :)
An early version of my game’s demo is officially done! There’s still a lot to do, but I’ve been working nonstop for a month and am taking a break to let people try it out and get feedback! Getting back to it soon to polish it up for a more final version as well as a trailer hopefully! Very proud! :)
The fest was approved! "Games That Ace It" will be held on Steam during Ace Week this fall! 🖤🤍💜 To that end, I'm opening up submissions for games that: - Are made by ace devs; OR - Include ace chars or themes docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... Thank you @kinmoku.bsky.social for the wonderful logo!
I published my very first novella this week! If you like weird horror, nuclear winters, and most of all…MOLD, then you’d love Putrescent Scorns! It’s available to read on itch.io right now! Enjoy!
saw the backrooms today. loved it but I could not stop thinking about the fooglies from spy kids…I think some sort of primal fear came back to haunt me from childhood. and now I can’t stop seeing spy kids and backrooms parallels 👍
Making minigames has been one of the best experiences I’ve had working on my indie game. Yes, they make me want to pull my hair out sometimes, but on the other hand, I’ve learned so many different skills in a wide variety of genres that have been so satisfying and excited to see come together. :)
Things have been a bit crazy lately and I’ve been a bit swamped with work, but hopefully getting over this next big chunk of stuff to do gives me a ton more time to work on my game and clean it up for a demo version. That’s the plan at least! 🤞🤞
Every now and then I remember about this app, but hey, I’m back for my monthly update on my game! The update is…….I may actually be moving my release date up! Currently I don’t have it public, but trust that it may be releasing sooner now! It’s not really super far in the future so I’m excited!! 👀👀
With the first 3 episodes out and the 4th baking in the oven (my DAW), I thought it might be time for a formal introduction to my queer audio drama promoting transgenderism and messy found family! It's Dustwalker, babey!
No AI is used in the development of A Week Before Autumn. I have no clue how to make music but I’ll learn, if I don’t know how to code, I scour the depths of reddit and bother my coding friends, I spend hours making art assets until my brain turns to mush. And guess what? I love all of it.
I’m so sorry that my monthly post on this app was just “video game” I swear I’m working on a demo and not just trying to come up with more 2 word posts thought up by my mushy brain 😭😭😭
The first episode of DUSTWALKER, This Bird Heralds Death, is out now! Featuring a senate hearing, a truck heist, and multiple different trans people committing multiple different crimes within the span of 36 minutes. Exciting! Listen here: pnc.st/s/dustwalker...
So close to 100 wishlists of my game! This is my first project I’m releasing on my own so even though it’s not a lot numbers wise, it still means so much to me! I hope for many more wishlists in the future and that people can eventually enjoy all of the fun stories I’ve been writing! :)
I finally decided on an official name for my game! Look out for A Week Before Autumn on Steam! 💜
I’m slowly but surely fixing up the foundations of my game so that I can get into the meaty parts of the project. This means a lot more new content to show off and start working on soon, which I’m incredibly excited about!! I’ve been bouncing off the walls to start major art and writing sections!
My number one goal in life aside from making games is to at some point become so mysterious that I become a cryptid and/or an eldritch being 👍
As a solo game dev, I can confidently say that I have no clue what I’m doing 90% of the time. So if you ever feel like you don’t know enough to make a game, know that the majority of it is fumbling around and figuring things out, even if you know what you’re doing 10% of the time. Make that game!
The good news: I made a dialogue system in Unity in a day. The bad news: I think Unity wanted to humble me after making dialogue system in a day. 👍
I am so grateful for my little community of creatives/game devs. Having people who know what I don’t and are willing and excited to help out is a real privilege. Don’t know how to fix something or where to start? Someone’s there to tell you exactly that. Sharing knowledge is an amazing thing!
I’m working on solo developing my very first video game called House Party! This is how it started VS a week of development! I’m currently about a month in, but more on that later as I get my official socials set up! You can find me on Instagram, Tiktok, and itch.io!
