33) Destiny Grimoire Anthology Volume III: War Machines - Bungie 📚 Finished? Yep! This grimoire of Destiny lore covers stories of the Exo, of Cayde-6, and the Warmind Rasputin. I enjoyed it a lot; I’ve always found Rasputin to be an intriguing character in the universe. He’s so vital to the lore!

The front cover of blue-grey pebbled leather, embossed with the Vanguard crest. Above is the title with the Destiny logo; at the bottom is the volume number.

32) Destiny Grimoire Anthology Volume II: Fallen Kingdoms - Bungie 📚 Finished? ✅ I love the Eliksni so much. They are a fascinating people, with rich culture/stories, and I loved every moment of their anthology. Much like the Hive, they are one of my favourite parts of Destiny; this volume was 🤌🤌🤌

17) The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood 🎮 Finished? ✅ This expansion tackles the looming threat of Mehrunes Dagon and the cult hellbent on bringing him to invade Tamriel. I enjoyed the blend of Daedra lore with the story a lot, but I wasn’t that enamoured with the Blackwood zone.

Concept art for the Blackwood expansion. Against a fiery background, soldiers stand against a giant eldritch being in the background. In the foreground is a fiery circular portal with demons emerging from it. On the left is the silhouette of a burning castle.

16) God Of War (2018) 🎮 Finished? YES 😭 This was a 2nd playthrough in prep for Ragnarok and holy hell, this game was so damn good. The emotional heft, the story, the haunting MUSIC. I’d forgotten how incredible a game it is. Genuinely a perfect story, in my view. I laughed, I cried, I cheered 🥹

Kratos

Alt: Kratos, the protagonist (a tall, burly pale bald warrior with a full beard and red ink tattoos all over his body) stands on a rocky cliff edge as his wrist wrappings fall away in the wind. He seems freed by this event, closing his eyes in relief.

🧵 In an attempt to reduce my games backlog (it’s a truly terrible number), I’m going to keep a lovely thread of each game I either play and DNF or play and finish. So. Here are my games I’ve played/finished in 2026! 🥰

Hey. Psst. Y’all are rad. Hydrate your skeletons. Take your meds. Check your posture. Have a snack. Whatever you need to do today/tonight, I believe in you. No matter how big or small it may be. I hope the week brings joy, relief, laughter, success, coziness. You got this. 💕

“Protect users from discrimination and harassment” is doing a whole lot of heavy lifting for a code that is explicitly designed to target, harass, and enable discrimination against trans people, who should be protected by the Equality Act 2010

Equality and Human Rights Commission@equalityhumanright.bsky.social · 14h ago

Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx

Quote from Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson: 'At the EHRC we want a society where everyone’s rights are respected and realised, so that we can all live well together. Our statutory guidance will help services across the country comply with the Equality Act, protecting service users from discrimination and harassment while reducing the risk of the provider being subject to litigation.

As Britain’s equality regulator, our work doesn’t end upon publication of this guidance. We monitor compliance with the law and take enforcement action where proportionate and necessary, in line with our well-established regulatory model and decision-making framework.'

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

If you're part of the BioWare or Sims community and want to talk about how those studios' queer characters and themes have impacted you and your fears for those series moving forward after this sale, I'd love to chat with you for a Kotaku story. Can be reached here or email kshepard@kotaku.com

31) Destiny Grimoire Anthology Volume I: Dark Mirror - Bungie 📚 Finished? Oh yes! I wanted to dive fully into Destiny lore, so I finally jumped into the lore anthologies. And the first one, about the origins of the Hive, the Taken War, was absolutely fantastic. Loved every little snippet 😍

The front cover, showing a gold shield crest with geometric shapes on a pebbled grey background. Above is the title; below is the volume number.

15) A Castle Full Of Cats 🎮 Finished? Oh yes! This one had a delightfully haunted vibe, with many mysteries and a strange ‘enemy’ that lurks in the castle. Much like previous games, the art is stunning, the puzzling clever, and the twists a joy. Big love for this instalment!

A screenshot from the game, showing a grand hallway with a large curving double staircase at either side. In the middle is a large door with 36 on it. Dotted around the image are several cats in yellow.

The entirety of the NHS, from inception, was made possible thanks to non-white immigrants. Every accusation is a confession. They don’t want talented people regardless of skin colour. They just want white people regardless of skills.

"There's a real thing going on in the composition of the staff...does that not have to be looked at as well?" Nick Robinson, on Today, discussing this news.sky.com/story/nhs-st...

here's a fun lil exercise for cis people: how many articles would a publication have to print calling for your extermination before you would expect people who care about you to stop giving them money? and how would you feel if their excuse for still supporting them is some fuckass crossword puzzle?

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.

In late 2023, the Society spent a day with Hertfordshire’s historians. We saw the quality, creativity and distinctiveness of teaching, research and engagement. We were told by a (now departed) senior manager that History was ‘a portfolio the university will guard very carefully’. bit.ly/4hLediN

So it's farewell to the History subject area at the University of Hertfordshire, not the first nor the last to go. One of the best departments in the country, just extinguished like a snap of the fingers. Think of the waste. (1/2)
