Hi Society for Developmental Biology friends! I’m excited to be running for SDB’s board of directors for their PostDoc rep seat - ballots just went live! If elected, I am hoping to focus on scientific outreach and bringing the public back to our side, scientifically. #devbio 🧪

I do not WANT to make my devbio proposal read like a cancer proposal to get funding now that the NIH is trashed. Why don’t we have an American Neonatal Society that funds dev bio the way ACS funds cancer research? Like you can’t tell me we don’t care about improving neonatal health in this country!

In a time where antivax sentiment is causing a rise in preventable illness, my 84 year old grandfather shared this piece of history when I visited this weekend - he spoke about how people lined up in droves in NC to get vaccinated against polio. 1/2
