I bought a GR Corolla! My dad and I drove down to Santa Barbara to pick it up and over the course of 3 days we drove 900 miles. We made memories that we will never forget and we saw sights we had never seen before. Have a seat and I'll tell you the tale.

The vibes are almost always impeccable here, but they're especially nice when I find a W114 coupe parked up. Such a clean example.

So, I test drove a used GRC yesterday. I figured I shouldn't get too far down this road before knowing if the car is comfortable enough and if I like the way it drives. It was absolutely everything I hoped it would be. I have some serious decisions to make in the next few months. 🤔😁

A wild Sprint has appeared! I'm not sure if my neighbor has acquired an additional Turbo Sprint or has swapped the white one for the red one. I've consistently seen the white one over the last 6 months and just noticed the red rallycross-prepped car this morning. Quite a rare sight.

I don't believe in anything...karma, luck, God...but I have chills. I took a picture of an Outlander Ralliart and then turned the corner, not 200 feet away was a Montero on Golden State plates.

Today, on what would have been my grandma's 103rd birthday, it feels great to have the watch she gave me for Christmas in 1991 fully restored and back on my wrist. She's been gone 24 years, but I can still think of her any time I look at the watch.

Yesterday, I took my park district's 4x4 training course. 8 hours of education and fun in an OHV park. I had never driven a 4WD truck off road before and I had so much fun! I'm forever a GMT800 stan; this truck is so much nicer to drive than the newer F150s and Rams we have. 😍

That being said, I won't kick a Hardbody out of bed...

Definitely my pops (pictured here in 1970s Miami with my grandma and his 914). He and my grandparents used to camp at Sebring every year. I grew up going to Laguna Seca every August. Since I was a kid he's had Maximas, E46 BMWs, a VW GTI, and now a Porsche 996 and 986.

I've worked in my park for 9 months and yesterday cemented the fact that I want to do this for the rest of my days. 2 lost kids, both found by staff. Sewage lift station shut down, fixed it. Many interactions with the public in Spanish. I was high on adrenaline all day.

Ok, hypothetically, you're on a first date where you're really hitting it off. You walk them to their car and you arrive at a Cybertruck. "This is me!" How do you react? "Hey, they might be loaded!" "NOPE!"

After 33 years of wearing quartz watches, I've purchased my first mechanical. I'm in love with the size and feel of this Seiko.

This week my dad, my brother, and I took a road trip from the Bay Area down to Paso Robles. We took the longest routes everywhere and found such beautiful roads and landscapes. We had the time of our lives. We're very thankful to have our cars and each other to explore with.

We have a new EV at work, a Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic. I was able to take it up some trails to do some maintenance and must say I like it quite a lot. Feels a lot more lively than the John Deere Gator we were previously using, which is downright agricultural in comparison.

I feel like City Toyota might have thrown in the towel on EVs a little too early.

Tonight I was behind a Nismo Juke with a license plate LOL JKE. Made my night. ☺️
