I am annoyed with Hank Green for a Different Reason. I am the hipster of Being Annoyed with Hank Green.

I take you outside and hopefully you touch a slug. I’m a science communicator and museum educator. I sing along with guitar solos. He/him.
Drive to Work #AlbumoftheDay: Speakerboxxx by Big Boi//Outkast. Fairly sure this was the first time I listened through the whole thing. I have listened to TLB many, many times but The Way You Move was everywhere and I wasn’t into it. TBH, weakest track on disc 1, IMO.
Listened to this on my commute in and more thoughts. This album is expertly produced. Every note and hi hat is exactly where they wanted it. Calling the tracks “filler” is a great insult to Albarn and CO’s expertise. If you only like Gorillaz tracks with rapping, just say that.
Strongly disagree, the album is constantly switching vibes, it wasn’t meant to be cover to cover radio bops.
I work at a children’s museum and once got a voicemail saying they’d seen a tortoise on the hiking trail that didn’t “seem” to be native to this area and just wondering if we’d lost track of one of ours.
what are some absurd work situations you can share? once i got called into a meeting i had nothing to do with because the consultant brought an engineer and no one in the room could understand him, so they asked me to translate. he was scouse. i translated from english to english.
Evil Dead 2, I think I was around 10, famous family story. On vacation in the Adirondacks, my uncle wanted to watch it with me. My mom and aunt stayed outside on the porch but peeped in questioning my uncle’s wisdom. Had a big impact on my life (I love horror).
Do you remember what *your* first R-rated movie was? I finally asked my mom (I couldn't remember), and she told me it was The Lost Boys when I was roughly the same age as my daughter (about 9). The movie traumatized her more than it did me, apparently
Messing around with a new technique here and quite like how this lil frog boi came out. #minipainting #miniatures #nerdlings
The entire time I had Chappel Roan in my head screaming “play something with a fucking beat!!”
Drive to Work #AlbumoftheDay: WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO by Billie Eilish. I’m probably not the audience for this but I truly do not get a pop album with this many lullabies. An absolute snoozer of an album.
NTs distracted driving: looking at their phones. Me distracted driving: looking at my fingers.

He saves his friend from freezing to death but then ends up trapped in carbonite.
The itinerary for the boys’ trip to Holland may have been overly ambitious. Starring Sean Connery
Did not know these lads were such big Chrono Trigger fans.

Probably the best reporting I’ve heard from This American Life. A difficult but important story for literally all Americans in this moment. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

Nothing is gonna happen to the ICE agent who shot a random guy today and I think that's the thing that you can run on and you need to change that thing when you win the election
I want to make a website but the only problem is I can’t decide which podcast’s code to use at Squarespace.
Said it a million times: is it cruel to joke about the death of an evil man, or is it cruel to subjugate marginalized people for power and profit?
Mainstream Respectable opinion is that people joking about a bad person's death represents a culture of cruelty, but really it represents a culture of impunity. It's a coping mechanism for watching someone do evil their whole life and never seeing consequences
@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social really likes to write books with sad, mature dream girls who are simply not in the second half.
Drive to Work #AlbumoftheDay from a few days ago but still thinking about: this new Sublime is far, far better than it has any right to be. This isn’t supposed to happen.
Museum educators do this all the time and it is as good as it sounds.
Getting to go on a fun educational trip should be a regular thing at companies for mental health reasons
Bottom two are a troll I finished this week, top two are the same model I painted about a year ago when I first started painting. How’s my improvement? #dnd #miniatures #nerdlings #minipainting
Listening to the kiddos podcast and learned that in medieval Europe, lads were literally playing football across the entire town. Lots of fistfights.
I say go bigger. Cross country soccer. Games could last a whole weekend.
Too tired to make a reply to an internet random so subtweeting instead: gutter racism is not a sign of mental illness. Most of us mentally ill folk are not gutter racists. Calling a bigot “mentally ill” just exposes your own bigotry against us.
Drive to Work #AlbumoftheDay: Croz Boyce S/T. Wasn’t sure I wanted to listen to this, but glad I did. This is Avey Tarre and Geologist from Animal Collective and this is the piece I’ve liked most from the AC boys since MPP. A much more chill vibe from classic AC, but a good one.
