UAE officials have warned the UK that a severe punishment for Man City could hurt future Emirati investment in Britain, Bloomberg reports. This is the perfect argument for keeping foreign money out of football.
Council Tax. Worked as a short term political fix for the 'Community Charge' (sic) debacle, but now woefully out of date and chock full of the outcomes of 3 decades of unintended consequences (if I'm being generous using that term).
So in summary, they'll now be paying slightly above the national average as a worst case scenario.

For every £25 we spend on income support on young people who are out of work, we spend just £1 on employment support to get them into work. We’ve got the balance all wrong, says Alan Milburn at our Labour Party Conference fringe event
Saddest thing I ever heard in local govt was from a colleague in Blackpool: "We did some focus groups about why people in HMO's moved here as adults. Going to Blackpool was the last place where they felt happy as kids" :-(
Going back to Blackpool would certainly open a few eyes to the challenges of regeneration.
When yimbies celebrate the 30s as a housebuilding paradise, they often don't mention that building only followed massive public investment.
Looking through my old London Underground photos folder from 'work' - the almost completed platforms at Bounds Green station on the Cockfosters extension of the Piccadilly line seen on 8/7/1932. Note the very different & long lost lighting treatment this group of stations had. (LT photo).
Given my many, many bleak evenings on the Bradford/Whitehaven/Widnes (delete where applicable) terraces enduring dour nailbiting relegation struggles - this is simply wonderful #upthetrin

The most amusing bit of Orr's academic page at Cambridge? "Not available for consultancy".
Are we going to get the 200 articles on James Orr then? Maybe read and interrogate the footnotes of his doctoral thesis? Is Cambridge going to have to issue out statements about its hiring standards?
Just a reminder, Professor James Orr, Reform UK head of policy, teaches 'ethics' to undergraduates at Cambridge University youtu.be/aXut3s90rUI
