Happy 95th birthday to Sir Roger Penrose. He spent a lifetime exploring the hidden depths of space, time and gravity. In 2020, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics for showing that black holes are an inevitable consequence of Einstein’s general relativity. Thank you, Roger.

A portrait of an African Bush Elephant (Loxodonta africana). The Matriarch is facing squarely with the viewer. In the the foreground and middle ground is Savannah, background is low hills. The sun is purposely being block out to give the viewer a sense of massive difference in scale. You the viewer are minuscule, you are nothing compared to itself. And there my fellow beings is the operative words. AI is nothing, it is NOT artificial intelligence. Supercomputers, Quantum Computing cannot experience. It cannot understand itself without being programmed. It is not Self Aware. This intelligent being, that i had the privilege to do a portrait of is MORE intelligent, MORE intellectually competent than AI. That is because it can experience and understand death, suffering, love of one another, experience birth, painful experience of the loss of a loved one and pay tribute and homage at the fallen gravesite. This is intelligence, this is intellect, this is what Carbon Based Life Forms offer to all of us species. AI is nothing but a Bull Shit Con and the greedy are selling it to the ignorant Homosapiens who will swallow any toxic cool-aid if they think it will save them from themselves. “The Escape”. I went through the process painting over the print-on-canvas with acrylic gel gloss as a means to varnish and make the print look more like a real painting. There are bits I might have to go over again but overall it looks better than just print. #art #artist #artshare #fineart (?)

Embellishment process shot: Prints of digital paintings can look a little flat, especially if printed on canvas with the goal to make it look like a real painting. One way is to use acrylic gel gloss and apply it to your print with traditional tools (brushes, spatula, palette knife, sponge… whatever texture you want to achieve). This is me applying thicker impasto brushstrokes to part of my painting that I want to stand out a bit.
