I've written an optimistic-by-default WebSocket-based synchronization library that I'm using for fast game development (OpenGuessr runs on it). Spent the last few days making a page for it, if you're interested: therealpaulplay.github.io/PlaySocketJS/

Prototype #2 for the ROOT Observer (my privacy-first security camera project) is done 😄
Working on dark mode for ROOT, my privacy-first smart security camera project. ... a quick check to ensure your home is safe before going to bed shouldn't strain your eyes🦉
Always watching, never spying... more progress on the ROOT Observer security camera.
I've written a guide on how you can build your own, privacy-preserving, home security camera! It has a bunch of smart features, like on-device AI-vision, and is easy to set up. rootprivacy.com/blog/buildin...
Doesn‘t look like much yet, but I‘ve started connecting some parts for building a private home security camera.
New bugspot.dev design. Over 500 bugs for OpenGuessr have been handled autonomously by the platform already!
Has anyone benchmarked / compared WebGPU performance on iOS 26 to WebGL yet?
Tried to achieve a 3D-ish "bubble text" look... Didn't take much css!

I was looking for a good feedback board and the ones I found (Canny, Nolt, Fider, Usersnap..) either had mediocre UX or where super pricy. Then I discovered userjot.com 🤩 Will use it for my next side project – together with bugspot.dev for bug reporting of course. @shayy.org really COOKED!

This might be my favorite way to use AI for #coding. Since Claude has a built-in REPL environment, I can describe test cases and it will import my code, create the tests and process them. Such a time-saver for debugging.
Should you use WebRTC or WebSockets for a multiplayer game?🤔 My take: WebRTC: - Less popular - Lower latency (without TURN) - More difficult to debug - Cheap to host WebSockets: - Require more server power - Predictable & Reliable - Easier to secure and debug - No split-brain problem

just preordered a Repebble Core 2 Duo in white. I like how this name is reminiscent of the old intel chip :-) The watch is quite nerdy but I‘m afraid that‘s what I am @ericmigi.com
Just updated the openguessr.com standard map generator – the map should now feel more urban & balanced!
Just finished developing playlight.dev, an open-source browser game discovery platform that can be integrated into any game! Instead of uploading your browser game to a platform, you can bring the platform (via SDK) into your own game to stay independent! Looking for games who want to join atm :)

Feels good to be on Bluesky. In times like this, you need platforms that actually support free speech & don‘t come with a biased algorithm. Open-Source Social Medias + open protocols are the future🙌
