His voice was the soundtrack to nature documentaries I grew up loving. 100 years of David Attenborough. Few scientists or communicators have done more to connect the public with the stakes of biodiversity and climate. Beautiful Nature's editorial @nature.com www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Happy 100th birthday David Attenborough! Nature salutes you

The science communicator has raised awareness of the natural world andits myriad interconnections on which humans depend.

POM121 is one of the transmembrane nucleoporins that anchors the Nuclear Pore to the nuclear envelope. The Rodriguez-Bravo+labs identified a nuclear-soluble pool of POM121 that enhances the aggressiveness of prostate cancer, offering new therapeutic opportunities for this disease. shorturl.at/Z2Ked

Off-pore Nucleoporin sPOM121 Transcriptionally Propels β-Catenin–driven Tumor Progression and Immune Escape in Prostate Cancer

Transcriptional reprogramming, mediated by off-pore, nucleoplasm-localized sPOM121, leads to therapy resistance and immune evasion and represents a vulnerability to β-catenin inhibition in prostate ca...

This is such a step forward! Kudos to the authors. KRAS is mutated in around 25% of cancers and was considered “undruggable”, being this a good example of how the drug discovery field is being changed quickly with new computing tools and power. Hopefully the impact to patients arrives also soon! 🚀

Excited to share our latest work, published this morning in Nature Biotechnology! 🎉 We developed a hybrid quantum computing-enhanced generative model to design KRAS inhibitors. Check it out here: rdcu.be/d68Fs. Some fascinating insights along the way:
