The rejection of objective truth is not sustainable. Unified Relentless Disciplined Resistance "Protest Asks - Resistance Refuses" Nature always seeks balance. It will right itself, using all means possible, regardless of your feelings.

When asked about Trump - “Is it about holding him accountable or working with him to get stuff that he’ll actually sign?” - Schumer said of Donald Trump, “We’ll see if he will actually change his ways…” He has to go, y’all. Our democracy cannot be in this man’s hands. He must not become leader.

He is tainted by AIPAC money, as is Jeffries. Can't be trusted. Didn't fight hard enough these past months. They must be replaced with fighters. I still wonder what the private meeting between Jeffries and Kushner was about. Sanders and Ossoff sound good to me.

Update on the New Mexico constitutional amendment to reform university board selection. It looks like a passed with around 70% of the vote. This sort of thing can be a template for other states to adopt as a way protect academic independence from partisan control. bsky.app/profile/cant...

New Mexico has an interesting proposal that would limit governors ability to select university board members to a slate of candidates selected by nominating committees that are non-partisan and include students. This is an interesting idea.

I wrote about what last night means for #SCOTUS, including whether Thomas or Alito will retire during the lame duck (no); whether the Court will now moderate its behavior (it *needs* to); and the consequences for the Court and the country if the justices continue to act as if they are above it all:

261. The Midterms and the Courts, Part I

John Roberts is in a similar position to Owen Roberts in December 1936. Whether he’ll react the same way could say a lot about the Supreme Court’s future.

The only thing I'm sad about tonight is that history will fail to record that Democrats put almost no money into the Senate races in MS or LA and likely will lose both by a *hair*—50-48 and 51-49—meaning that with any investment they likely would have won those seats, too That's how big tonight was

For the last 21 months, the lower federal courts have been fighting a rearguard action against the lawlessness of the Trump administration—with no support from Congress and very little from #SCOTUS. One of tonight’s less visible consequences will be that we’ll have a Congress that has their backs.

This is such garbage! Like with my client Davey Hearn or Jim Comey, AG James, the sandwich thrower & MANY others, the Trump admin is openly abusing criminal powers for political purposes. Fed & state courts have ruled that the ballot is legal. No normal admin would be doing this on election day.

If you should go to Mars, don't inhale. As well as not tasting the dust. "Fine and ultrafine Martian dust presents additional risks for future crewed missions to Mars" www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
