There it is, the disagreement that was bound to happen. You don't need my pity nor would you want it nor would I offer any. A hint to the topic we had earlier, about respect. Even if it's just the respect you pay yourself. What would be the alternative? Not risk going out into the world --

She does, she is the best mother one could wish for, even if we are at odds with one another. Given where she comes from I am glad that you managed to provide another option she was willing to take. But what about people you you don't agree with, wouldn't you say that positively influencing --

My queen mother would agree with you on that. That I might be... Stubborn to a fault. I learned that by example. Have you tried being a positive influence?

Two separate aspects about respect, one is about how to obtain it, the other on the meaning of respect. Only earning it doesn't mean one would get it unless the other person acknowledges they have to pay the earned respect.

Given that you think of me as a brute wouldn't I have already become .. violent if it did? Respect given says more about the one paying it than the one receiving it.
