Commentary: Advance Colorado, a "dark money" group, has warped an expression of direct democracy into an oligarchic veto on democracy, and it threatens to do lasting damage in the state.

Today in my Spanish lesson, I got distracted and started telling a story. After I was done, profe embarrassingly wrote down one of my ad-libbed sentences. Turns out I correctly used past, present, and present subjunctive in an indirect sentence without thinking about it. So, progress.

European gas is above €82/MWh - the highest since late 2022. Hormuz remains largely shut and gas storage is at 68% going into winter. None of this started in Europe but we pay for it. The only exit is using less gas. Heat pumps, electrified industry, insulation.
