📣✨Here’s where Painting Dragon Feathers will be appearing during October! Stop by, for books and creature goodies, say hi at my panels, and show off your cosplays! 🐲🎨📖 #indieauthor #convention #indieartist #bookfair #books

📖🐲🐾Chipping away at the first draft of CryptoCity and commission backlog, but here is a sneak peek of something else in the pipeline coming soon. Like, probably early October soon, and will be available at cons. #book #writing #creaturedesign #dragon #cryptid

Cosplayers assemble!💃👨‍🎤Tag yourself or others if you recognize them. And thank you everyone who came by the Painting Dragon Feathers booth and dropped in on my panels! 🎨 #matsuricon #matsuricon2026 #artistalley #cosplay #convention

Eeeee! Booth neighbor and artist buddy Little Kyuu Studios doodled me as a ribbon! #matsuricon #matsuricon2026 #artistalley #artistssupportingartists

They may be tiny, but it’s rather soothing to have sea fairy buddies keeping me company at the booth. Gives me something to watch during the lulls—though Matsuricon was hopping for Friday!

✨🌸All set up at my first ever Matsuricon! You can find me, the Poke’ball Terrariums, author-signed copies of CryptoZoo, and now the SEA FAIRIES at booth 30 in the Artist Alley! And I’ll be double-paneling Saturday night! I look forward to seeing all the cool cosplays!🌸💫

✨📖I am eternally grateful that CryptoZoo is resonating so well with readers and cryptid fans! Reviews like these also help us indie authors out a lot in so many ways. #cryptid #paranormal #indiebook #indieauthor #book

Hitting the road to Matsuricon with my copilots—Eevee and a mini tank of brine shrimp. 🦐✨ #matsuricon #artistalley #panels

✨🦐The pet project is done! I present my own, made from scratch, Sea Fairy Well. 🦋What is a Sea Fairy? Boring answer: Brine shrimp. They’re the same as the branded Sea Monkeys. I like calling them sea fairies cause they flitter and it sounds whimsical.

📖After staying up to 3am in writing flow, I am happy to report the plot knots have been untangled, the characters wrangled, and the CryptoCity revised outline is DONE! 🤩And my outlines tend to be meaty—kind of like a proto first draft—so the 1st proper draft is gonna pop off.

🦐✨After some test prints, some suggested edits from my architect husband, and another round of test prints, I have 3D printed the components for the pet project! Now on to painting and assembly! 🦐 #wip #3dprinting #petproject #art #seamonkeys

The end is in sight! But then I tripped over a plot knot cause a character has gone off the rails a bit (but we can blame the erratic behavior on blood loss, lol). So I’ve busted out the note card method to try and figure out the order of operations that need to happen.

🔥This commissioner asked for a custom-colored shiny Typhlosion with black fur and blue flames and a nameplate to match the OC of a friend who is receiving it as a thoughtful gift! 🎁

🐲 I’ve had the tower and the Rayquaza figure sitting in my studio, so when a commissioner hit me up for this exact scene but ✨SHINY✨I was down to craft. 😎🎨 My commissions are closed at this time till I complete my backlog. #pokemon #rayquaza #commission #art #diorama

✨📚All set up at a fun book event in Pittsburgh! Noon to 5 for general admission at the Marriott North in Cranberry. Stop by the check out some stellar local authors and artists! #book #indieauthor #pittsburgh #wordswordswords

✈️🏙️Hubby and I had an awesome weekend in Chicago to see the Art Institute, Shedd Aquarium—and of course the Poke’Mon Fossil Exhibit at the Field Museum! 🦖

💦Thank you everyone who stopped by my tent at Squonkapalooza! It’s always a blast to be surrounded by cryptid friends! #squonkapalooza #squonkapalooza2026 #cryptid #fair #festival

To go with a dragon and star-fossil base, I figured an ancient tree, pond, and stone henge would be a good complement for the top of the pet project. 🦐 Now to do some test prints! #3dsculpting #3dprinting #petproject #artist #whimsy

This weekend Painting Dragon Feathers will be at Authors in the Steel City! Stop by for all kinds of creature goodies and author-signed copies of CryptoZoo! ✨📖 #books #pittsburgh #authorsinthesteelcity #indieauthor #indieartist

After some trials and tribulations and test prints, and a round of tweaks at the suggestion of my architect husband, the base of the pet project is done! 🦐 Now on to designing the next part—the top! #3dsculpting #3dprinting #petproject #artist #whimsy

💦Along with the resin-dabbed Squonk figures, debuting at Squonkapalooza this year I’ll have FUNCTIONALLY CRYING SQUONKS 😭. My clever hubby helped me hollow my design out, so now these Squonks have real crying action!
