Anybody know where the Canadian consulate in Portland is? I need to send them a strongly worded letter about all this wildfire smoke from the Canadian province of...Oregon.

Y'all, we decided a long time ago that we didn't care about children being murdered in schools. You think a measley broken collarbone is gonna bring these people to their knees?
Also, it's young onset Parkinson's, not early onset. Do better @chicagotribune.com.
While I never celebrate anybody's diagnosis with any disease, especially the one I have, well-known people have an incredible impact on research, awareness and so much more. I also wonder if, like me, Ahman's was not genetic but caused rather by exposure to certain pesticides.
Ahman Green reveals that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Congrats and all the well wishes to your wife!
It’s my wife’s birthday! She’s a historian, and we’re very excited that her first book published this month! If you’re at all interested in Little Rock history/the LR9/the Central HS deseg crisis, check it out www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0820...
Gravity and 13yo girl sass: undefeated since the beginning of time.
bought candy at the pool for a 13yo and she tried to give me cash. i was like nahh it's nbd, and she goes "girl i have seen your car." 13yo girls remain undefeated. you think you're talking to a child but you're actually talking to whatever gods used to send to punish mortals for their hubris
Ya know, I think they created DUI tests just to arrest people with Parkinson's. Stand on one foot: fail. Heel-to-toe: fail Letters/numbers in any order without issue: fail Breathing properly: fail Tremors: pass Issues with speaking: pass
@motelcowboy.bsky.social I'm no naval expert, but I'm pretty certain this isn't exactly how to sail.

Send the United States some hate mail about getting our shit together.
Manitoba is currently dealing with smoke from Oregon. It smells like hypocrisy.
No, the United States and Israel are not merging militaries. Ugh I hate social media.
I see 216 traitors (that voted for this "merger") who should be charged with sedition and treason.
Lol some of you folks still think Trump or anybody in his orbit will face consequences? I think we've known for a long time that nothing will ever happen to him or his family. Ever.
Yeah. Duh. We've known about this since before it freaking began. Maybe you should do your job and report on it more often.
In 2017, most of the revenue President Trump’s businesses generated came from his domestic golf and real estate portfolio. By the first year of his second term, his business holdings had transformed and expanded in areas where he wields immense power. Take a closer look. trib.al/313eKiF
It seems many folks here would benefit from finding a hobby and friends and a therapist. Posting to your imaginary friends as a hobby for therapy ain't it.
Something to for sure consider.
If you live in the Portland area, or going to be here with some free time to get out on the town, you must check out if Seven Deadly Sins Portland has a show on. Especially, if you're very lucky, one called Church. @rtodkelly.bsky.social quarterbacked an absolute unit of a show last night.
This story, and how common it is, infuriates me. Not providing information/changing voting locations etc are all essentially versions of a poll tax. They know who votes early, and they intentionally make it more difficult.
Dude, when I went in to vote for primaries this year the woman who took my ballot said "Now go out and find at least 3,000 more people to come in here and vote". She has complained before about low turnout. I told her how difficult it has always been to find voting info in the county and told her
This is from the game "Looking for Aliens", and it might be the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
What stuck out to me here is the lack of knowledge of voting times/locations, which is not the fault of the OP (or the point of the post). Certain states (you know the ones) do their best to make it not only more difficult to vote but even to know when/where to do so.
Voted in the VA 8th Congressional District Democratic primary this morning (almost by accident, had to visit the library and democracy was occurring there.) Normally with *gestures at everything going on* I’d hesitate to support an incumbent, but Don Beyer is one of the vanishingly rare good ones.
I play a video game called Path of Titans, which is an MMO in which we literally play as dinosaurs with abilities, etc. Suck it, Ark. Alderon, who created and updates the game, occasionally gives TLCs to dinos, basically updating them, which is nice. They also "balance" other animals. Soooo yeah.
"You can't prove God *doesn't* exist, so therefore he exists." Also wtffffffff
I’m sorry what
Everybody's all up in arms about Mitch McConnell not being around, and I'm over here like, "President Woodrow Wilson had a stroke and had to literally be propped up for photo shoots while his wife was basically being the president." Soooo yeah.
While both Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are both neurological diseases, they are not the same. Even so, reading the stories of these three courageous women reminds me that a lot of how I react and plan, even with Parkinson's, is up to me. Thank you so much for sharing, Sara.
Journalists rarely talk to people with Alzheimer's disease. Reporting this out for @19thnews.org was fascinating.
Oh and The Lincoln Project, too. Fighting Trump does not automatically mean advocating for liberal or progressive reform, and these folks absolutely are not. At all. They're using liberals as a smoke screen to usher in their war-mongering, bank-friendly friends.
Know how I say plenty of accounts exist just to post rage bait in order to make money? This is one of them. Meidas is another. George Conway. Robert Reich. Etc.
Makes him qualified to join the president's cabinet, no? Jokes aside, looking at this from anything other than the harm these predators cause the victims, and how we continue to give them power (yes liberals you too) is an injustice to those harmed.
A Republican member of the West Virginia House has just been charged with enticing a 15-year-old minor through Roblox and Snapchat.
