I’m here for the OSR & PDX lefty shit.

Loving my accidental tradition of working on my Appendix N Jam entry next to a body of water. Last year was a creek in the Gifford Pinchot NF, this year the sea at Arch Cape. Highly recommend.

An empty beach, with forested mountains beyond rising into the low-lying clouds

Biked from Woodlawn to Horse Brass for a friend’s birthday party and back this evening, and it was lovely. Every time I take a “long” bike ride it replenishes my love for Portland.

Listening to city council livestream, really appreciating councillor Kanal's efforts in this budget discussion. Glad to feel well represented by at least one of my district's councillors

Wild to see Dan Ryan bragging about opposing an infill project in NE in this the year 2026. Anti-parks, anti-housing, pro-handouts for the Blazers. Really stinks to have this guy as my city councilor, especially during a rough budget year.

Re: Waymo discourse, I think it’s important to not compare their safety stats to all drivers, but rather just taxis/rideshares which they’re replacing (I suspect professional drivers have a lower accident rate than private vehicles)

Huh, having a bit of a frustrating time applying for Preschool For All. Most of the preschools I ranked two days ago now say they’re full, so so guess I wasted those ranking spots? Why would the number of seats change during the enrollment period before the lottery starts?
