An eye for the unusual. Small seller of vintage books, MCM, vinyl, estate finds, Disneyana and just plain cool stuff! #bsnm https://linktr.ee/peaceablegrotto
There is now an actual “WKRP in Cincinnati” radio station. No repeat songs all day. Minimal commercials (“just enough to pay for the music,”) and mostly local businesses. I stream it on the Radio Garden app and it’s delightful. Listen to WKRP Radio on Radio Garden: radio.garden/listen/wkrp-...
Well I thought I was having a Mandela moment, so I had to pull out the DVD to prove I saw it. Fred Gwynne was on the lot during filming of “The Greatest American Hero” pilot, and they pulled him in to play an uncredited homeless man. Not on IMDB or my web search, but dang it, there he is!
Team #FFAA celebrates the life and career of the late, great actor Fred Gwynne, BOTD 100 YEARS AGO! What is YOUR favorite Gwynne role?!

I just sent this out to Democracy Docket premium members, but in light of the Postmasters comments this morning threatening voting by mail, I felt it is urgent to post it online for everyone. Please read and share. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/mail...

This one’s being passed around lately and it’s a fun little oddity I’d never seen. Pam Garner sings “Take Me To Disneyland” on a Cinebox reel (the Italian version of Scopitone.) #Disneyland Sources: Lounge-O-Leers, @disneychris-dotcom.bsky.social

Not a big fan of Andy Williams, but I picked up this album at the thrift store yesterday for one track. I was surprised to discover he did a version of “Quentin’s Theme” from the original #DarkShadows daytime serial.

It took me a while to find, but you inspired me to locate it. It’s been years, but I am still fascinated by this guy’s musical analysis of the #SesameStreet pinball number segments. youtu.be/TMtGImlEmu0?...

As a Disney nerd, this mildly saucy Playboy cartoon caused me to do a double take, noting Holmby Hills as the location of a brothel. Stay for the terrible A-eye description, & the laughable dimensions of the 8” x 10” frame in the “How this will look in your home” photo. Source: Facebook Marketplace

Tell me about a song that blew you away the first time you heard it, where you had to immediately drop everything to learn what it was and who it was by, bonus points if it was pre-Shazam and you had to *work* to find out. (Brought to you by a re-listen of “I’m Straight” by The Modern Lovers)
