Start out slow and get used to following suggestions. Begin with simple ones that you can intentionally follow, such as raise your arm, don't move, repeat after me, etc Later move on to suggestions that your body can respond to unconsciously

Hypnotic amnesia is normal and safe. These days it's not terribly common to spontaneously experience amnesia, but it's not THAT rare. If you want to, relax and enjoy the idea of forgetting. It's something that a lot of us have had to work hard towards
the most powerful hypnosis is the technique that matches you best (Much like the best pizza topping -- it's personal)
Playing with your opinions and thoughts can be fun, but attempting to alter your core identity is a sure fire way to get emotional trauma. Stay away from personality play, but have fun with sessions that temporarily give you new interests & ideas
Can you be hypnotized by emoji? My friend @mindwash2019.bsky.social put these together and I added a spiral bit.ly/4bf74U3

Practice following hypnotic suggestions until you're really good at NOT resisting. Practice not resisting. Get yourself into the habit of always playing along. One day, eventually, you'll find you can't seem to *stop* playing along.
Instead of trying to resist, THINK you're trying to resist. That's a different skill. I would truly believe I'm doing everything in my power to resist, But in the end, I'm not *truly* resisting. I've forgotten how to resist, and I think I'm doing the best I can
It's an incredible feeling to try and fail to resist, but it's also partly an act in some ways, even if only subconsciously. If my partner freezes me in place, I'd be completely stuck and unable to move. If the fire alarm goes off, I'm getting out of there regardless of the suggestions
If you're still feeling zoned out after listening to a hypnosis file, do some exercise to wake up - or go with it and take a nap!
There are measurable changes in brain activity during real hypnosis. Playing along is a great way to get started though - Much like pretending to sleep is a good way to overcome insomnia.
Hypnosis files can be such a challenge. Instead of the session adapting to your needs, you have to search and search for a session that is already what you need.
A professional can hypnotize you IF: 1. You want to be hypnotized, believe you can be hypnotized, & are cooperating with the hypnotist. 2. You're not too stressed, distracted, drunk, etc 3. The hypnotist is paying attention and adapting their technique to your responses
There are plenty of free files out there that are just as good as the paid ones. When you find a creator whose style works well for you, THEN spend some money to support them - but the paid files are no better than the free ones. I say that as a content creator who has both
If you're an analytical thinker (like me), they say to try an overload or confusion induction. But I never had much luck with those. It doesn't matter what your "type" is. Just keep trying and figure out what works
While in trance, focus on the hypnotist. Thinking about your goals is getting in the way of reaching them. You'll get there eventually, but right now enjoy what you're experiencing. Those fuzzy and relaxed feelings mean that it's working. Celebrate what you have so it can grow
Hypnotic suggestions are never permanent, despite what file creators may claim. All suggestions will fade with time. Repeated exposure can reinforce them though
Most amnesia files seem very low effort. They tell you to forget, but don't use any techniques that will make it work. Even the good files may not have exactly the pacing and techniques that you specifically need. If you remember everything, don't feel bad - it's probably not you
There's no reason that beginners need to stick to beginner suggestions. There are no "difficult" hypnotic tasks. Some things are easy for some people, some things are hard. Some you just need to figure out the trick. You won't know which until you try. It's all about your mindset
Start out with some beginner files from well respected hypnotists. You can search through reddit or YouTube for recommendations. If you find a file you don't know anything about, you can ask the community about the creator or the file
Subjects make great hypnotists. You already know exactly what to say and do because you've experienced it so many times already.
Every subject reacts differently to hypnotic suggestions. Part of the fun of hypnosis is finding out how you and your partner respond to each other
What's the difference between trust and rapport?
You can always leave the hypnosis mindset. Like how you can't control what the characters in a movie do, but you can always walk out of the theater if you don't like what's happening You can feel helpless & controlled but you can always make it stop by exercising personal agency
If you completely trust the content creator, and the file is something you absolutely want (subconsciously), then it can help you get into a mindset where you can't resist at all.
distracting thoughts? That's okay. Let them happen. When you notice that you're distracted, just refocus. If you're fighting against the daydreams, you're fighting against the process. Acknowledge them and move on.
