The Newport Theater hosted the bump and grind ball, its annual fundraiser, last night. They have amazing performers and they need all the support they can get!
Caught a nice shot of a CTA train crossing the Lake St bridge that is currently closed for maintenance.
Happy I caught a woodpecker. Less happy I did not check the camera settings before taking the picture. It could have been a lot sharper without the noise.
The funny thing about the Jarvis bird sanctuary is that the fence is mostly meant to keep people out, not birds in.
The goal of the day was to get more bird pictures, but that picture of a squirrel I took as a test shot was just way too good not to share

Probably my favorite photo from the weekend, a trainer fist bumping a seal at Lincoln Park zoo.
Testing a new 800mm lens, it's a major pain to use, but the insane magnification allows for nice wildlife pics. I call that one: couples who dives together, stay together. #Chicago #LincolnPark #Ducks
Trying to master longer focals, which means: more Chicago birds. The cardinal is my biggest disappointment of the lot, he was hiding, fairly far off the path, making the shot a bit cluttered.
Tried to do some wildlife photography at Lincoln Park with mixed results. But I got some nice action shots of the geese fighting.
Did some scouting for a potential future shoot at the Chicago Cultural Center, @ponyhound.link was a great model!

Was in the west loop and I really liked that angle of the Sears Tower, the iconic bundled tubes are clearly visible. #Chicago
