Peercoin blockchain (soft) forks at block #801331. SIGHASH_ANYPREVOUT (APO) is now activated. APO is a soft-fork that allows a transaction to be signed without reference to any specific previous output, such that any output with a matching signature can be dynamically added later.

Noosphere client is now open sourced under permissive BSD-3 license. Noosphere is the name of Peercoin Foundation's implementation of ROAST (Robust Asynchronous Schnorr Threshold) signatures. Flutter developers can now easily include this library in their apps.

62.6% of last 1000 blocks signal that they are ready for the v0.15 "APO" fork. This protocol update is about making DLCs nicer to use, ANYPREVOUT (APO) ensures that all outcomes of a DLC are in place before it is funded so that all parties to the DLC do not need to trust one another. Update today!

Participating in the consensus process by finding blocks does not require fancy hardware like it does with pretty much any other chain. Therefore, our governance is accessible to everyone. The optimal minting size is ~150 ppc at the moment, which is like $50 and runs on a Watt.

The Peercoin network successfully completed a hard fork to v0.12 Ladybug last night, finally attaining the 90% on-chain consensus required to activate the fork.  This monumental feat took far longer than originally anticipated, and included lots of lessons learned along the way.

Developer of ppcd, a port of btcd Bitcoin client to Peercoin reports that the reorg bug, which was the only bug known to cause crashes, is sorted out now. The software is in still testing and undergoing a bug hunt. Beta soon?

Peercoin Flutter - a mobile and web Peercoin wallet 1.2.0 has been released. This version uses brand new in-house developed "coinlib" library for all the coin stuff in the background. Adoption of coinlib into Peercoin Flutter allows for implementation of many new advanced features.
