The Ortolan Bunting at Porthgain, Pembrokeshire this morning- appeared after a cloudburst with Pied & Spotted Flycatchers, Whinchat, Blackcaps and a good few commoner Warblers. Disappeared soon after.

Waders trickling through Dowrog Pools, St Davids over the last week despite the drought. 2 Little Ringed Plover, Black tailed Godwit, up to 4 Wood Sandpipers and a jumpy Greenshank.
3 Wood Sandpipers at Dowrog Pool, St Davids. With 2 Greenshank, 2 Green Sanpipers and a couple of dozen White Wagtails. Not much water left though.
Lots of juvenile birds on Dowrog Common, St Davids. A family of Lesser Whitethroats, young Grasshopper and Sedge Warblers with Green Sandpiper at the pool.

The Golden Oriole at St Davids Head. Found it yesterday afternoon and it was still there first thing this morning surprisingly. Singing from within a clump of Withies early on but mostly very unsettled and hard to pin down. #birdingWales
