Warning for a little bit of gross I suppose. Melon was having very watery droppings. It was to the point that her underside was wet like you see in the first pictures. Took her to the vet where they did a gram stain after swabbing her poop. She's got a bacterial infection and will be on antibiotics.

Here's the cockatiels mad that I don't have 3 hands for skritches. Let me pet Cookie! (Pierogi and Pooka were fine. They flew off to different parts of the room)

I've been trying to get the birds to come out of the bird room more. There's a few of them that don't like leaving it. Pierogi has to land everywhere he shouldn't, including the fan. And that fan is never on. Because birds. As is evidenced by the dust and cobwebs. So is a perch I guess.

"Just wearing glasses shouldn't be a disguise for Superman. That wouldn't work." Oh yeah? Well I just took off my glasses to clean them and Hurley bit my ear because I was suddenly a whole new person.

So unfortunately Charlie still barbers/plucks this specific area about once a year. Usually around this time too. He has been to a vet about it before with no answers. The assumption is that it's hormonal. Have you ever had a bird do this?

Pooka doing a whistle after a long day of selling dice! We'll be back in Albany's Washington Park tomorrow for Capital Pride, but Pooka is gonna skip this one. There's a chance of rain + one day of excitement per weekend is probably enough for her. Take a break Pooka-chu!
