Had a dream last night that I was taught how to do boardgame design step by step and everything clicked for me and all of my designing potential was suddenly and inexplicably unlocked in a blinding fashion. So I woke up to a harsh reality this morning. 🎲✂️

Oof. I placed this order back in Late May. Unfortunately Captain Flip's expansion's release date keeps getting pushed back. Here's to hoping it ships real soon. These are the only boardgames I have bought all year & I don't even have them. How do people Kickstart games. Waiting sucks

Boardgame order review with expected delivery date of June 25-July 10. Includes games Captain Flip: Isla Bomba expansion and Lords of Vegas

Things that usually NOPE a #boardgame for me: 🎲 Only great at 3 players 🎲 180+ min playtime 🎲 Kickstartered 🎲 More than $60 🎲 Game that requires an expansion to be any good 🎲 Box size bigger than a standard-sized box 🎲 Sexualized themes or art 🎲 App required to play What's on your NOPE list?

As someone who grew up reading hobby magazines, Senet would be right up my alley as a boardgamer. Unfortunately I live in the US so ordering back issues would cost about $15 a piece after shipping. I don't think I can justify that. Maybe one day they'll print in the US.

It's weird being an adult sometimes. Like hey I just ordered a turtle sand-timer to decorate my boardgame shelves & I'm chuffed about it. Not that I love turtles (I have nothing else turtle in my house) but I had a pet turtle as a child & also the shell pattern is hexes which has boardgame vibes.
