When I say I’ve read the first fifty-something years of the character, I mean it. Also, any time I hear someone say Zeb Wells “wrote the worst Spider-Man comics,” I respond with “he wrote Marvel Team-Up in the ‘70s?” because brother, the writing in those books FUCKIN’ SUCKS DICK.

I’m optimistic about #SpiderManBrandNewDay, but I’m hopeful for one thing - watching the movie and wanting to consume more of the comics. The last time I saw a Spidey movie, I ended up going on THE GREAT SPIDER-MAN READTHROUGH and started with AF#15 and ended all the way to 2020.

Marvel moving out of NYC feels like the end of an era. In my mind, New York is a huge part of Marvel’s character. For me, it made NYC an almost mythological place, one foot in reality and the other in legend. This would be like if Coca Cola moved out of Georgia, or Nike out of Portland.

ABSOLUTE BATMAN is going to be an animated series! Can’t even begin to tell you guys how excited Nick and I are to be working on this - so grateful to Warner Brothers animation and DC Studios!
