Ok, it looks like we're not getting LUKS encryption for the TrueNAS boot pool in the "foreseeable future". So if you don't want encryption keys stored on an unencrypted boot pool, passphrases are basically the alternative. Let's hope we at least get TPM backed key storage.

It's not only the public GitHub that has stability issues. Our internal GitHub Enterprise instance has been struggling too, so much that it's one of the main reasons it's being split into multiple instances.

Every time I see claims about reversing aging, I think of this slide from a talk I saw in 2016. We're basically slow-cooking ourselves via the Maillard reaction over a lifetime.

Recently migrated an enterprise Angular app from webpack to esbuild. Builds are now 30% faster. Yes, Angular made esbuild the default in 2023. I work in enterprise.

Imagine still using Jira as if AI didn't exist. Many workflows in the enterprise are still practically unchanged even in this AI era. It'll be interesting to see the transformation Rovo AI brings to teams using Jira.

Recently we had our old wooden windows replaced with new plastic ones. There's no more draft, but neither is there extra fresh air, and the difference is really noticeable on the CO2 meter.
