If you chat" with anyone, either here of on a dedicated chat app ( e.g. Signal, Telegram), and your correspondant starts requesting pictures of you, beware. You are probably being scammed. Your correspondent will be looking for ways to use these pictures for blackmail.
As is very clear right now, a country need not be communistic or heavily socialistic to in order to devolve into despotism. Tyranny can evolve under any system where the average voter reacts without thought and without understanding and makes the wrong choices.
The difference between corporations and people is that some people are equipped with a moral compass. What would serve as a substitute for moral compass in corporations is the unabashed and unmastered lust for profit.
