I Am Legend, by Richard Matheson When everyone else in the world succumbs to vampirism, Robert Neville decides to try and understand the mechanics of the infection while regularly patrolling his neighborhood to dispatch sleeping vampires and former neighbors. If, like me, you are only familiar with the movie you should give this a try. It has a lot of interesting musings on solitude and society that hit hard post-2020, is one of the first vampires-take-over-the-world plots, and an interesting take on how vampirism spreads.

Tapeworm EW EW EW! #Tapeworm is interestingly psychedelic but very gross, though probably tame to folks who read a lot of extreme horror. Ultimately the combination of bugs, body horror and sex was a bit much for me but it’s definitely worth a read if you aren’t squeamish!
