Phelonius, thy name is hubris. Remember the tomato fiasco of last year? Here we are again. Unfortunately for me, and my lack of self control in these situations, it was $12.99 (CAD) for the entire box. Guess I need to figure out what to do with that many sweet red peppers... muhammara? What else?

Moved my main computer and server into the basement. My living room is a living room again finally! Got the server cleaned and set up yesterday and my Windows computer today. Audio was glitching. Sociopaths and narcissists and people driven by weakness and hate thrive with attention... any attention. Suck the oxygen from their echo chambers and build better places for more people without them. If you see misogyny, leave a red flag for others to see, block, and move on with your life.

Tossed the two leftover sides together (mixed sautéed veggies and German potato salad) to make a new spooge. Fried some chicken wings and sauced them (sweet, savoury, and spicy). Dinner. 2019 Rioja to drink (somehow still cheap plonk, which was nice). #cooking

The dinner I made tonight. Double fried fresh cut potatoes. The last of the gravy I made earlier (with onions, mushrooms, garlic, and thyme). Fresh cheddar cheese curds. Spice crusted pork loin slow roasted, cut into chunks, and then fried in butter until brown and crisp. Superb poutine! #cooking

Offspring-the-youngest made me a black forest cake from scratch for my birthday today. ❤️ There is no kirsch to be found in Ontario, so they mixed the liquid from the bottle of sour cherries with Forty Creek whiskey instead. The whipping cream was lactose free, fyi. #cooking #birthday

And I can't find my RJ-45 crimping tool... sigh... need to fix some cable ends. Guess I get to go out and buy a new one today. Neither the sole electronics supply shop nor Computer Canada sell them (but they'll sell me the RJ-45 connectors). Neither does Canadian Tire. Who has it? Home Depot. 😩

Today's lesson: no matter how simple and silly a product idea is, someone else has already done it and it has been picked up by overseas companies and is now available complete for less money than you can buy the components for. I am despairing of finding a means of funding my old age... 💀
