Started off the week in Perth at the Australian & New Zealand Obesity Society Annual Meeting presenting my work on novel ceramide synthases & their anti-obesogenic effects. Had a great time at ANZOS and exploring Rottsnest Island, home to the extremely friendly and fluffy quokkas! #WomeninSTEM

In my final few days in Vienna, I presented my ongoing PhD research on novel ceramide synthase inhibitors at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD)’s Annual Conference! Thank you to EASD for the travel grant, enabling me to share my research! #EASD2025 #WomeninSTEM

I'm so relieved to finally get this one up as a preprint. We started this project back in 2019 when we created our first gemcitabine (GEMC) resistant (GEMR) #PDAC cell line. We showed that GEMR upregulates lipid synthesis and that targeting different steps could sensitise cells to GEMC. 1/n 🧪👩‍🔬
