In a sane world, governed by less corrupt people, maybe he would be in jail. But getting away with child abuse seems to be part of the core platform of Republicans right now.

The things in local advertisements absolutely curl what's left of my hair. "Vote for me because I'm not 'them'" is the BEST of it, and most of it is between baseless and racist.

Opposition to socialized medicine is sometimes based on the idea of not treating those who haven't earned it. No one needs to "earn" health care. If another country left an American to die in a waiting room due to lack of funds, we would lose our shit.
Someone who has let their visa expire has not committed a crime at the level of a misdemeanor. It's around the legal equivalent of a speeding ticket. Someone who knowingly hires a person who is not eligible to work in this country is guilty of a felony. But who are we prosecuting....

If you want to continue a dangerous pregnancy, that's your business. Forcing someone else to hold out for two miracles - a viable child and survival - because you value the doomed fetus more than the gestational parent is barbaric.
More stores like this could drive prices back down. It would be actual competition for big retailers, instead of the pretend version and price fixing we've been living through.

If 80% of men were wiped out by some catastrophe, the human race would be fine (maybe even better for it). If a fraction of that loss were inflicted on women, we might very well die out.

Christian Nationalism is the belief that the US is a Christian nation and should be run by and for Christians. It denies civic participation to non-Christians, and claims that the Christian interpretation of the Bible should be the only law.
