Children ask better philosophical questions than many adults I know. Not because they're smarter, but because they haven't yet decided which questions are worth asking. Philosophy for Children is partly about protecting that instinct.
What's the difference between changing your mind and just giving in? It sounds obvious. But when someone makes a good argument and you find yourself agreeing, are you really convinced or just tired of disagreeing?
I've been doing philosophy with people for a long time — in classrooms, one-to-one, with children and adults. What I've noticed is that when people are stuck it's often not because they lack information but because they need to think more clearly. That's what Philosynthesis is for!
